Orange Mobile Telecommunications




An outdoor cinema event held in major cities across Switzerland called "Orange Cinema" has been a traditional event for France They also became the title sponsor of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts film awards. The company is a major partner for the Festival de Cannes back in 2000. Film Perks By working with their partners and affiliate companies, France Telecom is able to give away free tickets to film showings and is also able to give relevant discounts in order to bring their customers to international film events.

Aside from the marketing benefits that the company gains out of placing their brand logo on their sponsored teams and on event announcements, their customers get a myriad of benefits such as priority reservation, exclusive coverage, discounts on event tickets as well as live mobile broadcasts. These include sports events, film showing as well as concerts. Marketing by Sponsorship France Telecom supports various events, experiences and activities that are related to their customer's interests. This is now the brand name of France Telecom as a whole and is based in Arcueil, France.

The brand was acquired by France Telecom back in August 2000 and was renamed from its original commercial facade "Wanadoo". The brand was originally launched in 2004 for the for Hutchison Telecom mobile phone operator in the United Kingdom. In 2009, they have reached up to almost 193 million customers in 32 countries and it ranks in fifth place among the world's largest telecom operators. France Telecom's mobile network service and internet service brand is called Orange.
